Rest assured, the work CWD provides is never one and done. They are the first to tell me if there’s a website issue, and in the rare chance I catch something first, they will drop anything and everything to resolve the issue.

When I started my company I created a webpage on GoDaddy using one of their templates. It was only one page and it served its purpose for a brief time. I reached out to Carol because I needed to get a full, professional website done as my company was growing. I gave her basically no information or direction. I sent her a few examples of what I liked and didn’t like but, really, she was starting with little to go on. Carol absolutely crushed it. She took what little information I gave her and ran with it and from the very first concept that she sent to me, my attitude about this website completely changed. At the time I started this process, it was just another tedious task that I needed to get done, however, her designs got me excited about the project and the possibilities. By the end, this project had gone from me just needing a website so potential clients knew that I was an actual company, to a website that I am VERY proud of. I WANT to send people to my website now to show it off. She made the process simple and delivered results that I couldn’t have even dreamed of when I first started. Carol Gallmeyer (Cottonwood Whispers’ owner) is a gifted magician. She can make beauty out of thin air OR out of amateurish photos and text OR out of half-baked notions. I know because she has been raising the bar for me in all of those arenas for years.

My website. The Topeka High Historical Society’s website. My advertising-by-mail campaigns. My family Christmas cards including multi-page stories I shared with friends. I give Carol my rough ideas and she gives them back to me looking professional, glossy and polished, assembled in better ways than I could have ever envisioned. Thrilling.

My only frustration with Carol is that she is too humble. I think that she doesn’t charge enough for her time. For instance, working with Hall’s Commercial Printing for paper goods like photo cards, advertising fliers, and stationery, under Carol’s sophisticated eye and supervision I get better, more personalized cards and advertising than I could get elsewhere, and I get it all for half the price I would pay elsewhere.

I’ve worked with Carol in the design/web industry for over 5 years! She is creative, but also tech savvy, which is the best of both worlds when it comes to a designer! We have worked together on many different projects and she always has had them done on time and would work hard until the project was complete! Carol is a perfectionist and always does her best to keep her clients happy! 🙂 I can always count on her!

We have had Carol completely redo websites for two organizations here in Topeka.
